Naafi in Germany

Naafi, in alliance with Eurest Support Services, has won the catering and services support contract for 25,000 British Army members and dependants at 150 German locations. The contract is worth a potential £500m in turnover over seven years.

More UK visitors

Latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show that, in the three months ending May, the number of overseas visitors to the UK rose by 1% to 6.35 million. Their spending rose by 4% to £2.88b.

Innholder awards

The Award of Master Innholder this year goes to Brian Miller and Patrick Elsmie, general managers of Danesfield House in Marlow and the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, respectively. They will receive the Freedom of the City of London in September.

RAGB chief leaves

Peter Conway, chief executive of the Restaurateurs Association of Great Britain, is to leave the association after joining 18 months ago. His successor will be announced shortly.

Sell replacement

The BTA is seeking a new chief executive to replace Anthony Sell, who is currently on extended sick leave and will not renew his contract in November. Until then, Sue Garland will head an interim management team.
