Leeds restaurant shuts after seven months
Manrai, the Leeds restaurant that opened on the site of the failed Teatro, has closed just seven months after opening.
Forward Choice UK, which owns the restaurant, has also shut its nearby nightclub, Bambu.
A spokesman for Leeds-based Forward Choice said problems with the nightclub had led to both businesses being put into liquidation. The restaurant had been trading successfully, he said.
No decision has yet been taken on its future.
The site was bought after the Teatro restaurant, owned by footballer-turned-restaurateur Lee Chapman and his wife, actress Leslie Ash, went into liquidation last June.
