Madisons goes on without financial chief

Coffee shop operator Madisons has parted company with its finance director "by mutual consent".

Steven Hill leaves the company at the end of the month and will not be replaced.

The group said it felt its existing finance team was "capable of fulfilling the company's financial requirements, following the reduction in the number of sites the group currently operates and the need to maintain low overheads".

Chief executive Gareth Lloyd-Jones said that he expected performance in the 12 months to 30 June to be moderately ahead of market expectations.

Madisons is due to publish its full-year results in late August or early September.
