Manager is jailed for his part in fraud

A restaurant manager has been jailed for 21 months for his part in a multi-million-pound international investment scam.

Michael Pattemore, 42, admitted four charges of making misleading statements contrary to the Financial Services Act.

Pattemore, who with his wife Janice managed the Old Mill restaurant near Crewkerne in Somerset, pocketed £600,000 for recruiting investors into the fraud, Southwark Crown Court was told last week.
