Manufacturers win food and drink awards

Four food manufacturers are among the winners of the 2004 Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards.

Thai Ginger Fish Brochettes from Trawlpac Seafoods picked up first prize in the starter, buffet and appetiser section. The main-course category, including accompaniments, was won by a range of chutneys, sauces, relishes and dressings from Ancient Recipes.

Food Partners won the bakery and pastry category with its Fulfilled Connoisseurs Choice sandwiches, and in the confectionery, ice-cream and dessert category, Macphie was victorious with its Chocolate Mudslide dessert sauce.

The awards were organised by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and Scottish Food and Drink, in association with Scottish Enterprise.
