Kentish brewer Shepherd Neame has appointed Mark Miller as the new marketing manager for Spitfire Ale, who plans to celebrate the beer's 20th year and the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain with a series of promotional activities.

Spitfire was originally conceived in 1990 as a one-off fundraiser to mark the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. But Shepherd Neame is still brewing it 20 years later. Miller has held a wide range of marketing roles, including working on Guinness and Smirnoff brands
