Wedge your bets
McCain Foodservice has launched two new varieties of Potato Wedges - Garlic and Oregano Wedges which have a Mediterranean style flavour, while Piri Piri Wedges have a hot, piquant flavour, with their piri piri coating - a blend of chilli and garlic.
The ways of serving these products are endless from a snack on their own with dips and toppings, as part of a combo, as a take-away item or as part of a main meal. There are profit opportunities when the wedges are served as a snack item, as customers are often willing to pay more for wedges.
McCain Wedges can be baked or fried and served from freezer to plate in about four minutes. They hold well which means they can be cooked to order or held until customers are ready to eat.
Here are some ideas on how to serve the wedges:Light Bite:

This year for the first time, the company was the official sole ice cream supplier at the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament.
Loseley will be moving to a new factory at Cwmbran, which will be known as Loseley Park. The automated plant will have the capacity to provide 10,000 litres of ice cream per hour, or up to 240,000 litres per day.
