Neil Macleod, founder of Inventive Leisure, leaves the company

Neil Macleod is to step down as director of Inventive Leisure, the parent company of the 62-strong chain of Revolution city centre vodka bars.

He is to leave the company he founded with Roy Ellis 21 years ago, with immediate effect to "pursue other interests". Ellis resigned as the chief executive of Inventive leisure in March this year and was replaced by Mark McQuater, the former chief executive of the Barracuda Pub Group.

McQuater said: "Neil has made a strong contribution to Inventive over the years and the company wishes him every success for the future."

Based in Manchester, Inventive Leisure has been backed by private equity company Alchemy Partners since 2006. Today it has an annual turnover of more than £110m and employs 2,500 staff.
