New pub named the Bolton opens in London's Earls Court

A new pub named the Bolton has opened on a historical hotel site of the same name, in London's Earls Court.

The 190-cover Bolton Pub is on the corner of Earls Court Road and Brompton Road, on the site of the Bolton hotel, which first opened in 1892. It has also since been a former branch of the pub group O'Neills.

The drinks menu now offers new draft beers and five cask ales, including Camden Hells Lager and Curious Brew. There are also wines and an extensive array of house spirits.

Playing homage to its background and location, the pub's interior includes an original fireplace in the downstairs bar, chandelier lighting, a double-height ceiling, and stained glass windows.

There are also vintage posters and artwork on the walls, in a nod to the nearby Earls Court exhibition and concert centre; and a first-floor function room available for private hire.
