Next move… all about employment law

I'm a student and I'm keen to find out about employment rights and responsibilities as part of my course. Where should I look?
The Department of Trade and Industry has a comprehensive website (www.tiger.gov.uk), which details all the information you need on employment rights.

As you study, your college will also be able to help. If you need further sources of information, why not try your local Department of Social Security? The personnel there can provide assistance, especially if you're an overseas student.

Most students work throughout their course, and benefit from a healthy tax-free allowance. Your employer is responsible for managing all of this for you.

Employment law is very complex, but thankfully there is plenty of excellent help and advice on hand through the above sources.
