Nominations open for ALMR's 2016 Operations Manager Awards
Nominations have opened for the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers' (ALMR) 2016 Operations Managers Awards.
The organisation, which represents 90% of the UK's managed pubs and around 7,000 casual dining restaurants, is looking to identify the best area manager, and business development manager in managed and leased hospitality respectively.
Last year's winners were announced at the ALMR Christmas Lunch in front of an audience of 1,200 industry. Caren Geering of Admiral Taverns won the title of best business development manager, while Martha Ingham of Mitchells & Butlers won best area manager.
This year's winners will be announced at a stand-alone ceremony taking place on 7 November, the same evening as the finals judging. The winners will then be presented at the 2016 ALMR Christmas Lunch on 15 December at Old Billingsgate, London.
Mentor judge of the awards programme and managing director of PHL Ventures Philip Lay said: "Over the past few years we have seen the Operations Managers Awards extend their reach into the wider areas of hospitality. It is now the pinnacle Awards for those in the late night, casual dining and branded sectors as well those within mainstream managed or leased businesses.
"This year we look forward to being able to showcase the exceptional talent that enter the Awards at their own event, which will enable a wider audience to support their managers".
