Old Fire Station bar in west London sold for £2m
The Old Fire Station bar in Hammersmith, west London, has been sold to developer the Spey Group for nearly £2m.
Located in Shepherds Bush Road, the venue, as its name implies, is a conversion of a former London Fire Brigade station, which has been fitted out to emphasise the old pump house. The property - which has a ground floor area of 6,000sq ft - is adjacent to the Hammersmith Palais nightclub and close to both Hammersmith Broadway tube station and a main bus terminus.
The Old Fire Station, which was being handled by administrators Lambert Smith Hampton, was sold to the Spey Group for £1,975,000. Shelley Sandzer represented the administrators, while Lambert Smith Hampton acted for the Spey Group.
Nick Weir, director at Shelley Sandzer, said: "With plenty of media companies in the local vicinity, the Old Fire Station could be very popular with the after-work crowd, especially those after a lively, animated venue close to Hammersmith tube; or could easily work as a retail unit due to the busy footfall in the area."
