Paul Mattocks appointed chairman of the League of Club Chefs
After spending 18 months as vice chairman, Mattocks' promotion will see him take on new responsibilities such as organising funded training days with the aim of giving young chefs more training opportunities.
The LOCC is a charity-based organisation that focuses on the education and development of young chefs in private members' clubs.
Mattocks said: "It is an honour to be regarded so highly by my peer group and I am excited to take on the role as chairman for the LOCC. It is my passion to help develop the skills of younger chefs and this will provide a great platform to do so."
Victory Services Club operations director, Mark Field said: "We're very proud of Paul for being appointed to this prestigious role. At the Victory Services Club we pride ourselves on delivering first class food and this is all down to the fantastic chefs and kitchen brigade we have at the venue so it is important that we support the next generation of young chefs as they enhance their skills and move forward in their careers."
