Townsend

Marston Hotels has appointed Darren Townsend as general manager of the four-star, 48-bedroom Chester Crabwell Manor hotel near Chester, Cheshire. He joins the group from the 189-bedroom Tortworth Court Four Pillars hotel, Gloucestershire, where he was general manager.

Sarah Browne has been promoted to international sales director for Rocco Forte Hotels. She previously worked as London sales director for the company.

Sue Heady has moved to head of media relations for Rocco Forte Hotels. Her previous post was marketing services manager at the company.

Paula Burston has been appointed head of housekeeping of the four-star, 100-bedroom Botley Park Hotel, Golf and Country Club in Hampshire. She moves from contract cleaning company HCS, where she worked as area manager. Stuart Leven has been appointed director of sales and marketing with Choice Hotels Europe. He previously worked as UK sales and marketing director at Moat House Hotels. Birgit Borreck has been appointed director of corporate communications for Rezidor SAS Hospitality in Brussels, Belgium. She previously worked as director of corporate communications at Maritim Hotels in Germany. ### Restaurants Martin Avey has been appointed head chef at the Inn at Lathones, Fife. He previously worked as head chef at the Dryfesdale Country House Hotel, Dumfriesshire.

Paul Staniford has been appointed chef-manager for Bowies, the bar and restaurant at the three-star, 78-bedroom Belmont House Hotel, Leicester. He previously worked as head chef at the Half Moon pub in Kirdford, West Sussex.
