The 95-bedroom Sheffield Park Hotel in the South Yorkshire city has appointed Ivar van Diepen general manager. Dutchman Ivar was previously general manager at the Park Plaza hotel in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The Stonefield Castle Group, owner of four Scottish hotels, has made its sales director Ken Charleson managing director.

The London Marriott West India Quay Hotel & Executive Apartments has welcomed three new members of staff. The hotel, which has 301 bedrooms and 47 executive apartments, has appointed Richard Williams as head concierge. Previously he was assistant head concierge at the Royal Garden Hotel in London's Kensington. Sven Plat is the second new starter. He has taken on the role of director of events management, leaving his role as event manager at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square. Joining the kitchen as pastry chef is Singapore-born Cherish Finden, who has moved from the Great Eastern Hotel in London, where she was assistant pastry chef. ### Contract catering

Leicestershire-based Catering Partnership has a new business development manager for the south-east. David Marney has joined from rival company Alliance in Partnership, where he held the role of sales manager. ### Plus… The Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain, which represents the country's top concierges, has welcomed a new member, Marc Sitch.
