### Hotels Hilton UK and Ireland has made two executive board changes. Hugh Taylor, vice president of marketing, is taking on the role of regional vice president for the southern area. Moving into Hugh's old role will be Keith Brown, who is currently the company's director of marketing for the London region. The 99-bedroom Ramada Encore Swansea Bay hotel, West Glamorgan, scheduled to open next month, has appointed Jannie Kingma sales manager. Jannie's last role was sales executive for the Angel Hotel in Cardiff, South Glamorgan. Majeed Khalil has joined the Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, as general manager. Majeed has more than 34 years' experience in hospitality, 21 of them in general manager positions. The 429-bedroom Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square in Thailand has welcomed Massimo Gentile as director of entertainment. Prior to his appointment Massimo owned the Le Caprice restaurant in Dublin.The Thai hotel has also made two internal staff changes. Former events manager Lojine Frost has taken on the role of quality manager, and Chanpen Vimolchaichit, previously director of marketing and business development, has become the hotel's executive assistant manager. ### Pubs and bars Late-night bar and nightclub operator Luminar leisure has appointed David Longbottom as non-executive director. David is currently group human resources director of retail company Dixons. ### Plus… Conference and events venue the Brewery in the City of London has two new event sales executives. Simon Cooper has joined from David Lloyd Leisure in Luton, where he was sales and membership consultant. Kate Shaw comes from the Kingsway Hall Hotel in London, where she worked in event sales. Richard Tobias, director-general of the Tourism Alliance, has announced that he will be quitting this position at the end of the year.
