PizzaExpress buys up Café Pasta

PIZZAEXPRESS has stepped up its expansion plans with the acquisition of Café Pasta for an initial sum of £6m. Further payments of up to £5m will be made over the next three years, depending on profits.

The eight-strong, London-based chain will retain its brand name alongside PizzaExpress's Pasta di Milano, which is being trialled at three sites.
