Porter on sex charge is banned from hotel

A london night porter accused of sexually assaulting a female guest has been banned from the Mostyn hotel at Marble Arch while he awaits trial.

In spite of objections from the Crown Prosecution Service, magistrate Alan Baldwin granted bail to Patrickson Obanya, also known as Sam Kone, pending his reappearance at Marylebone Court on 10 June.

But he ordered Obanya to deposit a £3,000 bail security, live with his uncle in Peckham, report to the police station there each evening, and keep away from the hotel and former colleagues.

Obanya is alleged to have indecently assaulted a businesswoman who was a guest at the hotel on 25 May after tricking his way into her room shortly after midnight.
