Principle Leisure buys its 11th bar

Tyne & Wear-based bar operator Principle Leisure is to take its estate to 11 after it took on the lease for a derelict video store in Guisborough in Redcar & Cleveland.

The site, which has been leased for an undisclosed amount, will be turned into a ‘continental' bar complete with the town's first rooftop terrace. Fit-out of the new venue is due to start next month, with an opening set for spring this year.

The move is Principle Leisure's first venue in the Teesside area. It has seven bars in Tyne & Wear, and three in Nottingham and Sheffield.

Stuart Young, managing director of Principle Leisure, said: "Principle Leisure has already built a strong reputation across Tyne and Wear, Yorkshire and the Midlands and we are extremely excited about working with Redcar and Cleveland Council to bring the brand to Teesside for the very first time."
