Pub firm Orchid reported to be up for sale
Orchid Pubs could be up for sale again for up to £300m, according to the Sunday Times.
The company, which runs more than 290 pubs and restaurants, is being sold by Deutsche Bank just over a year after it took control of the group in a debt-for-equity swap.
Aside from its pubs, Orchid runs restaurant chain the Oriental Group, its Dragon Pubs serving Thai food, and the Bar Room Bar chain.
Orchid went through a pre-pack administration in 2008, having been formed in 2006 by private equity firm GI Partners to buy part of the Punch Taverns estate.
Since its involvement, Deutsche Bank has been investing in the business and Orchid claims to have spent £50m refurbishing its pubs.
The Sunday Times reported that several other pub firms could be interested in buying the business, which generated sales of £180m in 2011.
