Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts has taken over the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Edinburgh's Royal Mile and will give the property an immediate £4.5m makeover.

The hotel has 238 bedrooms and 12 meeting rooms, the largest of which can hold up to 120 people. It also has a restaurant and leisure club.

Radisson now has 11 properties in the UK either already open or under development.

The agreement was brokered on behalf of private purchasers and Rezidor SAS by WJB Mondiale Asset Managers. Jones Lang La Salle Hotels acted on behalf of private vendors.
