Receivers attract three ‘significant' offers for Brixton's Fridge nightclub

The receivers for the iconic Fridge nightclub in Brixton, London, have indicated that they have already received three ‘significant' offers to buy the property.

Christie + Co announced earlier this week that it was marketing the Fridge, after insolvency practitioners David Rubin & Partners were appointed as receiver of the nightclub last week.

The nightclub, which has a capacity for up to 1,700 people, was at the heart of the early 1980s New Romantic movement, featuring such artists as Eurythmics and the Pet Shop Boys.

David Rubin & Partners said that contracts were being prepared with a view to exchange in the near future.
