Sanguine Hospitality and Laurent Perrier team up for new Birmingham Champagne bar
Sanguine Hospitality and Champagne house Laurent Perrier are to open a new £150,000 Laurent Perrier Champagne lounge in the Cube building in Birmingham's Commercial Street as part of a joint venture.
The new bar will join Marco Pierre White's new restaurant, and offer views of the city from the 25th floor.
Marco's Birmingham is already fully booked for dinner service for its opening two weeks.
The 50-seater lounge will be the family-owned Champagne house's first bar outside of London. It will be positioned alongside the restaurant, and above the boutique Hotel Indigo Birmingham.
Nick Taplin, managing director of Sanguine Hospitality, said: "Laurent Perrier is one of the world's most renowned Champagne brands and we are delighted to bring the company's first bar outside London to Birmingham.
"There is a real taste for affordable glamour in the city and we've set out to deliver a 21st century destination. This venue will allow people to sip excellent Champagne before enjoying exquisite food at Marco's and perhaps even an opulent night at Hotel Indigo.
"With the restaurant and hotel set to open early next month, followed by the Club & Spa in January, these are really exciting times for us and the new Laurent Perrier bar is truly the icing on the cake."
Hotel Indigo and Marco's at the Cube are scheduled to open on 1 December.
