Star Inn wins Taste of England Award
Michelin-starred restaurant the Star Inn at Harome, near Helmsley, in North Yorkshire, has won the Taste of England Award in this year's Enjoy England Awards for Excellence.
The restaurant, where Andrew Pern is chef-proprietor, includes both an eatery and deli and was praised for its "quintessentially English" food offer.
The Large Hotel of the Year Award went to the Chester Grosvenor and spa for its "attention to personal service"
Stanley House in Mellor, Lancashire, won Small Hotel of the Year, while Bed and Breakfast of the Year was awarded to Blackpool's Number One.
The winners of the tourism Excellence Awards included:

Best Large Hotel - The Chester Grosvenor and Spa, Chester
Best Small Hotel - Stanley House, Mellor, Lancashire
Bed and Breakfast of the Year - Number One, Blackpool
Best Small Visitor Attraction - RAF Air Defence Radar Museum, Horning, Norfolk
Best Large Visitor Attraction - Alnwick Castle, Northumberland, and Brunel's SS Great Britain in the Great Western Dockyard, Bristol
Business Tourism Award - Harrogate International Centre, North Yorkshire
Hotel of the Year - Independent - The Chester Grosvenor and Spa >>
