Sutton seeks Michelin star in Dorset move

Holbrook House head chef Brett Sutton is to leave the Somerset country house hotel after three years heading its kitchen.

Thirty-year-old Sutton is moving to the three-AA-rosette Summer Lodge in Evershot, Dorset. The Dorset hotel has been bought by the Red Carnation group which is investing more than £4m in the property.

Sutton confirmed that he would continue cooking modern British cuisine and would be aiming for accolades. He said: "They are looking for a Michelin star, and that ties in with my own dreams."

He takes up his new head chef's job at Summer Lodge on 23 February. His successor at Holbrook House has not yet been chosen.
