Ten-year low for US revpar

Hotels in the USA are expected to record the lowest figure for revenue per available room (revpar) growth for almost a decade this year, according to the US Lodging Forecast report by advisor PricewaterhouseCoopers.

It predicts that revpar will increase by 2.9% this year, the lowest growth rate since 1992. For next year, the report predicts a 4.3% increase.

In a separate report, hotels in the Asia-Pacific region were shown to have experienced a growth in revpar of more than 9% last year.
