The Columbo Group acquires Camden's Barfly

Bar, restaurant and night club operator the Columbo Group has acquired Camden's Barfly in London.

Barfly will be the Columbo Group's third music venue in the north London area.

The site has previously hosted the likes of Coldplay, Blur, Oasis, the Strokes and the Libertines, all of whom have performed there.

The company will also relaunch north London music venue the Jazz Café on 24 May, as well as the staging its first London music festival, SunFall, in London's Brockwell Park on 9 July.

Overall, the Columbo Group which was founded by Steve Ball and Riz Shaikh in 2006 has 10 sites. They include: the Old Queens Head in Islington ; Paradise By Way Of Kensal Green; XOYO in Shoreditch; the Blues Kitchen (Camden - 2009, Shoreditch - 2014, Brixton - 2015); the Nest in Dalston; and Phonox (2015).
