The Craft Beer Co secures City of London site

The Craft Beer Co has secured a site in the city of London on London's Mitre Lane.

The group's seventh site follows the opening of its Covent Garden pub, which founder Martin Hayes (pictured) described as a "tipping point" for the business.

Its sites now include Brighton, Brixton and Clapham.

The St Mary Axe leasehold pub in the City will take over the site of the Trident bar and restaurant.

Hayes said: "I always said that opening in Covent Garden last year would represent a ‘tipping point' for the business, and I'm happy to have been proven right. Since opening that site, our sixth, we have been inundated with offers of new sites to take the brand into. Our skill is picking the right ones."

The new site will open after a refurbishment offering a range of cask and keg beer on tap along with a wide selection of bottled beers.
