Jasper Gerard in the Telegraph finds The Pass restaurant at South Lodge hotel in Horsham, West Sussex, like most novelties, worth experiencing once.

The Ellington hotel's restaurant in Leeds is described by food critic Jay Rayner as a gem, although the limited wine list comes in for some stick.
