Three of the country's leading chefs and one of our greatest chef exports are joining forces this Christmas to hold a fundraising event in aid of industry charity Hospitality Action (HA).
Two-Michelin-starred chefs Tom Kerridge, Daniel Clifford and Claude Bosi and prominent chef-restaurateur Paul Cunningham of Denmark's Henne Kirkeby Kro will be hosting an exclusive dinner at Brasserie Joel at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London, on Monday, 2 December.
Kerridge, who last week launched his first solo television series, Proper Pub Food, on BBC2, and was named Chef of the Year and awarded four-AA-rosette for the Hand & Flowers in Marlow at the AA Hospitality Awards, has brought together some of his closest friends to create the dinner.
Together with Bosi from Relais & Chateaux restaurant Hibiscus in London, newly crowned five-AA-rosetted chef Daniel Clifford of Midsummer House in Cambridge, and eccentric and inventive chef Cunningham, Kerridge will prepare a four-course menu for 130 covers at the fashionable, design-led Park Plaza hotel. Despite a busy schedule coinciding with the launch of his new TV programme, Kerridge said he was determined "make this event happen" in order to support HA this year.
"Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year for those in the hospitality industry as we all work hard to ensure the festivities are enjoyed by our patrons. The long hours and high standards make the season particularly demanding and can make difficult personal circumstances even more unbearable. Please support Hospitality Action this Christmas so everyone can enjoy the celebrations."
HA chief executive Penny Moore added: "We are absolutely delighted to have the support of these four fantastic chefs. It really will be an evening to remember at a time when many of our beneficiaries are suffering the most. The funds raised via ticket sales and special auction prizes will help make the winter months more bearable for all those we support."
Tickets are priced at £135 per person or £1,300 for a table of 10. To secure your place, contact Giuliana Vittiglio on 020 3004 5504 or via firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are also available from www.hospitalityaction.org.uk/events
