Town & County loses Wimbledon contract

Gardner Merchant subsidiary Town & County haslost its prestigious catering contract at the Wimbledon tennis championships to a new firm made up of its former management team. Town & County has been the caterer at Wimbledon for more than 50 years.

The new company, Facilities Management Catering, is run by Frank McCartney, Town & County's former operations director, who has handled the contract for 10 years. Facilities Management Catering willbe responsible for catering tothe public, players, media andofficials, and will be recruiting 1,400 staff.
