TUCO invests in online system to ‘futureproof' procurement

The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO) has invested in a purchase-to-pay system with the aim to ‘futureproof' procurement contracts for its members.

TUCO Online has been created to make buying and fee paying more efficient, while allowing members to take advantage of cost savings.

It will offer live pricing data and will help remove risks from the supply chain, while saving countless man hours, according to TUCO.

Mike Haslin, TUCO's chief operating officer, said: "We've developed a first-class procurement framework that eliminates any price discrepancies that might have occurred through spreadsheet-based systems, and allows each purchase to be individually audited to ensure contract pricing is delivered. We are fully-dedicated to ensuring that our member's procurement is futureproofed."

He said the system will save countless man hours.

The TUCO Online platform is available for free to all TUCO members.
