UK Bartenders' Guild names Daniel Crebasse as new president
The United Kingdom Bartenders' Guild (UKBG) has appointed Daniel Crebesse, head barman at London's Milestone Hotel, as its new president.
Crebesse, who has been a member of the UKBG for 17 years, has been promoted to the role having been vice president. Previously he was the association's London area chairman.
During his career Crebesse has worked with the InterContinental Hotels Group, Thistle Hotels and the London Sofitel hotel. He joined the five-star Milestone hotel in Kensington two years ago and oversees its bars, including the renowned Stables Bar.
Crebesse said that as part of his presidency he plans to develop a range of new services to encourage more bartenders to join the UKBG including a new base in the Midlands area.
"One of my aims is to further develop the education side of the bartending business through the Guild, and to promote drink awareness," he said.
"All of the bartenders in the Guild are already very aware of the need to make sure they serve their customers responsibly."
Luca Cordiglieri has been appointed vice president of the UKBG, and in his role will support the initiatives introduced Crebesse.
