Senate strikes gold
Senate Food Services has won the contract to run the staff restaurant at the headquarters of investment firm Baring Asset Management in the City of London. Senate beat off competition from Sodexho, Initial and In-House Catering to secure the deal, which will turn over £500,000 a year.
Granada's class act
Millfield School in Somerset, one of the UK's top private schools, has chosen Granada subsidiary Fairfield to run its catering and housekeeping. The five-year contract is worth £2.2m a year and involves catering for 2,000 pupils and 240 staff.
On the right track
Reading-based Charlton House has won staff catering contracts at six Railtrack sites throughout the UK. It has taken over from Sutcliffe at four sites in London and one in Swindon. A further contract in Birmingham is set to open later this year. The contract will turn over £4.5m over three years.
Sodexho touch down
Sodexho Prestige, formerly Gardner Merchant Leisure, has retained its contract to run the hospitality and public catering at Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh. The new five-year deal will turn over £2.5m a year.
Healthcare triple
Granada Healthcare Services has been awarded three contracts with a combined turnover of more than £2m. It will provide staff catering at the headquarters of the North Nottinghamshire Health Authority and at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London, and cleaning services at Southend Hospital NHS Trust.
