Palace not Regal
The Regal Hotel Group has sold the Palace hotel in Paignton, Devon, for nearly £1.25m. The property has been bought by Steve Furness, who is also the owner of the nearby Overmead hotel and Queens hotel. Robert Barry & Co was the agent.
Little gets a Head
The Admiral's Head pub and restaurant in Little Bealings, Suffolk, has been sold for nearly £340,000. The 35-seat restaurant also includes a three-bedroom owner's flat. The new owner is Fergus Little, previously the tenant of Ipswich pub The Case Is Altered. Christie & Co was the agent.

Friendly hotels has sold its 63-bedroom Comfort Inn hotel in Exeter (also known as the Exeter Court) for close to £875,000 as part of a corporate disposal of 14 Friendly hotels. The sale includes the 60-seat Devon Harvest restaurant and 100-seat Devon Chef self-service restaurant. Christie & Co was the agent.
Henley hotel sold
The Henley hotel, just outside Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire, has been sold for a sum approaching £1.3m. The hotel has 33 bedrooms. Robert Barry & Co was the agent.
Merrit award
The Cain Valley hotel in Llanfyllin, Powys, has been sold for almost £500,000. The new owners of the 13-bedroom hotel are first-timers Les and Sue Merrit. Previous owners Michael and Rosemary Hills are retiring. Robert Barry & Co was the agent.
