Visit London saved from budget cuts

London tourism body Visit London has been saved from an uncertain fate after London Mayor Boris Johnson announced it would be merged with two other London bodies.

Visit London will be lumped in together with investment body Think London and education boy Study London and the three will now be lnown as Promote London.

The new body is expected to receive a £14m-a-year funding package until 2015.

The move comes after Government spending cuts saw the London Development Agency, along with its £480m budget scrapped.
