Colour in the bathroom
Corian Avante basins by Du Pont, formerly available only in white, now come in a range of colours.
The solid, non-porous basins and vanity tops made from natural minerals and acrylics are available in more than 60 colour choices from six different ranges that can be mixed and matched: Genesis - pale pastel colours; Venaro - veined marble colours; Sierra - light and dark shades with fine particles; Jewel - azure and black quartz; Summit - larger grainy particles in natural granite colours; and Magna - heavily speckled mineral colours.
The basins come in a standard oval shape measuring 419mm wide, 331mm front to back and 133mm deep.

Sweet sensation
New from Fairway Foodservice for the summer season are four individual desserts.
Chocolate and cherry meringue consists of a Cherry Marnier and chocolate flavoured truffle with a Morello cherry filling sandwiched between two layers of almond meringue; summer pudding is a blend of raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, cherries and redcurrants in white bread steeped in fruit juice; summerberry torte is a fresh raspberry mousse between two layers of génoise sponge topped with glazed fruits and a dusting of sugar; and lemon and sultana cheesecake is made with curd cheese, sultanas and lemon zest with a base and a topping of oat, coconut and brown sugar biscuit crumb.

Cook up a storm
For those caterers who want to barbecue in all types of weather, Big K has introduced a range of Italian-made chimney barbecues.
The chimney keeps food sheltered from wind and rain, while drawing smoke upwards and away from people near by. There are five models to choose from, including an outdoor pizza oven.
Each model has fireproof sides and plated grills, and some have removable ash boxes. The self-assembly barbecues are manufactured in weatherproof, precast concrete and can be painted.

Beef-ore you go
A blend of British and Irish beef is used in a new 90% beefburger launched by Doncaster-based frozen food firm Sparks Burgers.
Available either frozen or chilled, the Uncle Sam brand of burger comes in 56g (2oz) and 113g (4oz) sizes and is packed in cases of 48. The company claims shrinkage is only about 8%.
