Widdowson takes Eaton board spot

Eaton Group, the largest independent contract caterer in the City of London, has appointed Rodney Widdowson to its executive board.

Widdowson, who retired three years ago from his post as managing director of fine-dining contract caterer Directors' Table, and has since been involved with Sodexho on a number of projects, has become the joint chief executive along with Clive Shiret.

Eaton Group chairman Peter Chaning-Cotter said: "Rodney's appointment strengthens the Eaton board and will allow us to offer greater executive support to our clients."

The group aims to increase the number of contracts it holds from 74 to 110, and to raise turnover from £18.5m to £30m over the next five years.
