Question

"I have been curious about working in Dubai for some time now. I have experience working in hotels and restaurants and on cruise ships. Where do I start to look?"

!

"You do not say anything about your qualifications and the extent of your experience, but you are clearly adept on the Internet. If your experience is still developing, I would suggest you try looking on the Internet. International Web sites give you a lot of assistance.

"Dubai is different from the UK if you are looking for F&B roles, because these are usually in the large hotels chains. These chains have a number of different outlets under one roof, from theme pubs and wine bars to fine-dining restaurants. This is because there are restrictions on drinking and licences.

"The best way to start is to select a few big names in the cruise or hotel industry and write to them with a good CV."
