Young's to open new pub in Roehampton
Pub company Young's is set to open a new pub on the high street in Roehampton, South West London.
The King's Head, which is set to open on 1 November, is a recent acquisition for Young's. The 550sq m site will feature 40 covers across the pub and dining room, as well as an additional 28 covers in a private room and a further 10 in each of two "snugs".
The interior by LAP Architects will use classic design references mixed with vintage furniture and quirky details to create an "English provincial stately home aesthetic", which will include taxidermy and antique photography.
The site also includes a decking area off the main restaurant with seating for 20, a patio area accommodating up to 30 and four pergolas, each with seating for up to 15 people.
Patrick Dardis, Young's retail director, said: "Our acquisition and investment in the renovation of the King's Head illustrates our commitment to adding value to and growing our pub estate. King's Head will offer a quality pub-dining venue giving the local community a place to enjoy a menu of excellent quality British, seasonal dishes, paired with an array of quality drinks all under one roof."
