Young's to relaunch Orange Tree hotel in Richmond after £1.7m refurb
Pub operator Young's is set to relaunch the Orange Tree hotel and pub in Richmond-upon-Thames this September, following a £1.7m investment.
The 13-bedroom pub has had a complete refurbishment from the Young's Hotels brand, including the renovation of bedrooms, the 80-cover dining room, main bar, and entrance. The décor is inspired by the pub's proximity to Richmond Park and Twickenham rugby stadium.
Three of the bedrooms have been named "feature rooms", and include a family suite, walk-in showers, and a separate dressing area. All bedrooms have facilities such as flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, stocked mini-bars, Algotherm toiletries, and many have roll-top baths and king-sized beds. Rates begin at £119 per room, not including breakfast.
The new menu includes gastro-pub classics such as confit Gressingham duck cottage pie with cheddar mash; crispy squid with courgette and white bean salad; and battered cod and chips with peas and tartare sauce.
Drinks include the usual Young's selection of cask ales and craft beers, plus wine and a "vinegar cocktails" menu.
The Orange Tree forms part of Young's collection of London-based hotels, Young's Hotels, which also features the Dog & Fox in Wimbledon; the Windmill, Clapham; and the Alma in Wandsworth.
Andy Nash, operations director of Young's Hotels, says: "We're excited about expanding our collection of boutique hotels and the considerable investment we've put into The Orange Tree demonstrates our commitment to our hotel estate."
