You've had your chips

Did you know that in this country chips account for one third of potatoes eaten, with nearly two million tonnes of chips being consumed each year? And that today the total British frozen chip market is worth £300 million?

National Chip Week will take place from 21 to 27 February 2000 so this is your opportunity to plan your own chip promotion or event to capitalise on this special week.

According to the British Potato Council, organisers of the event, you can increase your chip profits by using the correct cooking techniques, proper equipment and the right oils.
