UKinbound business barometer – Industry data
The number of visitors to the UK fell by 2.4% in the month of October 2009, according to UKinbound.
Sales made by UKinbound members during May declined by 2.7% while forward bookings rose by 2.9%.
The Business Barometer is based on a monthly online survey of members of UKinbound, a trade organisation that represents more than 230 companies in the inbound tourism industry that operate more than 4,000 venues in the UK.
Members include tour operators, accommodation providers, attractions, transport companies, restaurant and catering firms and tourism bodies.
