Southerners buy lochside hotel in Western Scotland
Nick and Nicolette Horne and their family have moved from the south of England to run a waterside hotel in western Scotland.
They have bought the 12-bedroom Pierhouse hotel which sits on the shore of Loch Linnhe in Port Appin, Argyll, approximately mid-way between Fort William and Oban.
The property, which was developed from the old pier master's house, includes a bar, a 60-seat restaurant and a private, three-bedroom house to the rear.
The Glasgow office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold for less than the initial asking price of £795,000, which was subsequently lowered.
