Pall Mall Catering has taken over the staff feeding and hospitality catering at Shortlands Club in west London.
Its main activity is to provide meals for around 300 people based at the site, which includes offices, a health club and a swimming pool complex.
Meanwhile, Pall Mall’s Premier Dining Service has been awarded an initial one-year contract to provide staff dining and executive hospitality at the headquarters of Durex group London International.
The decision made by Leicestershire-based Brian Smith Catering Services to build up business in the south of England seems to be paying off.
In recent months the company has won contracts at the BBC Centre at White City, the National Grid Control Centre in Wokingham, and the Wolfson Conference Centre in the grounds of Hammersmith Hospital. These are in addition to the contract gained at the new London headquarters of Channel 4 Television (Caterer, 30 June). The combined turnover value of the contracts is in excess of £500,000.
Orchids, based in Bradford, has won the contract to run a licensed bar and liquor service for functions and banquets at the Broxbourne Civic Hall, Hoddesdon, and the Wolsey Hall at Cheshunt, both in Hertfordshire.
The three-year contract is worth around £250,000 a year in turnover to Orchids, the specialist catering division of the Caterleisure Group.
