Thai beer from Chang UK

Thai beer brand Chang is imported directly from Thailand by Chang UK, a newly created division of the InterBev Group.

The 5% abv Chang beer combines the flavour of a full-bodied beer with light citrus notes to complement the tastes and textures of Thai cuisine. Golden honey in colour, it has a complex aroma - a smoky, peaty blend of sweet green apples and vanilla - and a balanced flavour which the company describes as crisp, smooth and refreshing. It has been nominated for gold and silver prizes at the Australian International Beer Awards.

The Chang logo is prominently featured and incorporates two white elephants, symbolising happiness, harmony and prosperity, and a golden fountain representing the colour and quality of Chang beer.

Alongside its beer the company is offering Chang-branded glasses to restaurants, subtly based on the shape of an elephant's foot. The company is initially targeting Thai restaurants and pubs and bars serving Thai food.

The beer is packaged in cases of 24 x 330ml bottles and 12 x 640ml bottles for restaurants and bars.
