Michelin today released its 2008 guide for Great Britain and Ireland and awarded 15 restaurants one Michelin star.

While the guide promoted no establishments to the coveted two- or three-star status, Michelin identified a new trend towards food provenance and traceability as well as competitive pricing which was reflected in it naming 33 restaurants as Bib Gourmands.

In this exclusive video interview for Caterersearch, Derek Bulmer, editor of the Great Britain & Ireland and London guides, speaks about the results as well as general restaurant trends and Michelin’s plans for the future.
