Beverage sales increase by 38% at Belle Vue

The Greyhound Association who run Belle Vue stadium had for years operated refreshment kiosks using "own brand" beverages. Recognising the growth of coffee drinking they asked Nestlé Professional to take a look at the current operation and propose how it might be improved.

Debbie Storr, Nestlé Professional account manager, said ‘The impression we had on looking at the current facility was it was provided as a service, rather than a selling opportunity. We introduced 3 and 6 head Milano soluble machines able to deliver up to 00 cups an hour.

Sales have increased 36%, extra margin earned by increasing the cost of a regular cup of coffee by 25p to £1-50.

Gareth Evans, catering operations manager, is delighted: "Introducing the major consumer brand with the reassurance it gives our customers, making the kiosks and serving areas look more contemporary and the meal deals have increased sales and profits amazingly."
