Whitbread outsources HR and payroll to Ceridian
Premier Inn owner Whitbread has signed a five-year HR and payroll outsourcing deal with services firm Ceridian.
The contract, the value of which is undisclosed, will see Ceridian delivering HR services to more than 33,000 employees across the firm's operations, which includes Costa Coffee, Beefeater, Table Table, Brewers Fayre and Taybarns.
The move comes two months after Whitbread outsourced its finance and accounting functions to business services firm Steria in a "multimillion-pound" deal.
Ben Wishart, change and information director at Whitbread, said: "This move further supports our strategy of concentrating on core activities while raising efficiency levels across our organisation.
"Our decision to work with Ceridian was based largely on its technology offering, combined with its demonstrable experience in HR outsourcing."
The deal is expected to go live in a phased approach throughout 2009, with Ceridian providing support from its centre in Glasgow and offshore from Mauritius.
