Acclaimed Great Yarmouth pub changes hands

The acclaimed Fishermans Return pub in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, has been sold for the first time in 34 years.

Along with three double letting bedrooms, the premises provides a 50-seat public bar, a 30-seat lounge bar, a 16-seat breakfast room, and a function room (known locally as The Tinho) that can seat 60 guests or cater for up to 100.

There is further seating outside in the beer garden and the 60-seat front patio.

New owner Darrin Winter has owned two freehouses before, including the Fountain hotel in Okehampton, Devon.

The Ipswich office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £895,000 on behalf of Kate and John Findlay, who are retiring after 34 years running the pub.
